Noddle Report Welcome Finance Entry vanished

Just logged onto Noddle at the Welcome finance Loan entry has vanished. Its been ' 6 payments late' for over 4 years and I've been paying £1 a month.

Now its not there (was there last week)

its also not on equifax but I think it never was on that one.

What do I do?Keep paying? Obviously I will keep paying but its rather odd.....

Ah crap I can't remember when it was taken out but I think it was 2008 so it wouldn't have dropped off my file yet

Could be that your debt has been sold to a different debt collection agency.

Sometimes when this happens a credit file entry can disappear and then reappear a few days later in the new company name.

In terms of the '6payments late' entry, if you have been paying £1 a month for years then they should have defaulted you, that is entered a default on your credit file at least 3.5 years ago. Which would mean that it would drop off your file in no more than 2.5 years from now, rather than staying on for much longer (for 6 years after you settle the debt).

If it reappears in a different company name then you may want challenge this and try to get them to enter a default and backdate it several years to be in accordance with the ICO guidelines on filing defaults.
