New gas combi wall mounted - best deals?

Hello everyone,

Like most, I suspect I don’t have to buy new central heating units that often. As such, figured it’s worth a shot to see if there are any tips form our assembled ranks here?

I’ve identified that Bosch Worcester are good and have specified a Greenstar 42CDi

A quick scan through the web this afternoon suggests prices of around £1,000:eek:

Has anybody got sound tips and suggestions for searching for and getting the price lower?

Good morning: The City Plumbing Trade catalogue (May -August 2007) has the WB Greenstar 42CDi weighing in at £1372.56 plus Vat ... one of the most expensive gas combis on the market... very surprised that you have managed to source a new one at £1000.00 ! Many stories in the media lately down here about 'hot' boilers...OH was speaking to a building project manager down at a plumbers' merchant who had £25k+ worth of gear (including a boiler) nicked last week:eek:

Best I found to date is £1026.86 although this excludes VAT, (£1206.56 incl) does include the basic flue and aparently, also free delivery which means it beats eBay too!
