Wall insulation quote, timber build

Can anyone suggest where I can get a quote to improve wall insulation on a timber build property, really looking for a reputable company that is a member of some trade body.

It's for a house that I may be buying which needs considerable improvement, getting a loan through the Ecology Building Society who require upfront quotes for any energy saving improvements you intend making so they can make a decision on how much to lend.

The problem is that we don't own the house yet, so can probably only get a rough quote based on the size and type of property, but that should be enough for now as much of the improvement work will be paid for out of savings anyway.

You don't state the actual problem though?, is it new build?, listed? and why does it not already have decent insulation|?
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Timber built houses usually come stuffed to the gills with insulation, even fairly old ones. Are you sure that it needs improving?
I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.
  • I am a plasterer by trade, and we do lots of rendering on solid wall old buildings from outside since inside would make the house smaller plus got many complications
its very versitale and can be applied anywhere solid...from wood to old plaster or brick or block, fixing the insulation with glue and special wallplugs then applying render into it ..
Insulation varies in thicknes from 20 mm to 100 mm and in quality aswell- general rule, the dense it is the better it is
Check on google weber thermal rendering or k rend thermal rendering///
rough price is about 50 quid per square metre supply and fit but that would all depend on the quality of the insulation that you want to put
    good luck

That's what I was asking the OP, can't quite understand how it has been determined that the insulation level isn't satisfactory.

With things as they are we all need decent levels of insulation, but sometimes the simple fact that more heat needs putting into the building. (sorry OP, just trying to fill in the gaps given the fairly sparse fact content of your question).;)
