Best insurance for Apple Laptop for a Teenager

Hi There,

Looking to insure an Apple Macbook Air for a teenager which will cover accidents (clumsiness) wear and tear and everything in between. Any advice and/or experience on what would be the best one for the best price without any catches.

No it isn't covered on house insurance.

You can ask your contents insurer for a figure to include this - it can usually be covered in and away from home for loss or damage at an additional cost.

They will not normally cover for mechanical breakdown or wear and tear (if you are looking for this type of cover you may want to consider an extended warranty).

Bear in mind the excess fee and any impact to your home policy if you were to claim..

If you want accidental damage cover and cover away from you can ask your home insurer to add this as a specified item (there may be a fee for a mid term adjustment).

Otherwise there are companies that insure "gadgets"
