Indoor cat flap

Hi,
Not sure if this is the right board or not, sorry if not.

We have two fairly large, 8lb and 11lb, Ragdoll cats that are indoor cats. They have the free run of the house but this means leaving doors open for them. At this time of year this makes it hard to heat up the room we are in so we are considering a cat flap.

Has anyone fitted a cat flap in to an internal door, it is a B&Q wooden door with glass panel at top, with an success and if so is it easy and any recommendations for cats that large.

Thanks

  • I (well one of my friends actually did the fitting:o) had one put in an internal door in my old flat

*sigh* it had several huge cupboards (unlike this house which doesn't have a single cupboard in :() and I was able to keep Smudge's litter tray hidden away which was fab

It was a really thick wood door (prob same as an external door) and it worked fine :)

You can get dog flaps for dogs up to GSD size. The size for terrier types would probably suit :)
