looking for info on aldi scarbrough

Hi all,

just looking for some info from anyone local to the aldi in scarbrough as a friend has just been ticketed but is unable to scan me the details for a few days.

I will be helping out, probably the soft appeal first then onwards... depending on their (and aldi's) response....

What I am after for now is the name of the parasites that infect the carpark and if possible the land owner details.

With any luck i will get this sorted properly for them.

Likely to be ParkingEye. Read the 'Aldi facebook kicking off' page always on p1 or p2 here - and a constant source of anger and derision:

Join the club, complain and appeal online for your friend if you are more forum savvy than them. Appeal in the name of the KEEPER not the driver, as per the sticky threads 'successful complaints' and 'newbies, read this now!'.

And here you go, from the horses mouth on Aldi's facebook page, it IS PE at Scarborough and they obviously weren't extorting enough money because they've gone and reduced the parking time - but have they breached planning consent AGAIN?!

ParkingEye are easy to beat at POPLA as long as the recipient of the Notice doesn't miss their 28 days to appeal and PLEASE tell them to appeal as per our wording & examples, NOT as driver. You could tell them from us, first, to complain for a week (in store and on facebook) then appeal if not sorted out & cancelled.

YOU DO NOT NEED THE LANDOWNER. IF ALDI ARE THE ONLY STORE ON SITE, IT WILL BE THEIR FAULT.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

More than likely ParkingEye. Have you looked on the Aldi Facebook page - it's littered with parking-related complaints (and rotten food).

Landowners - Google is probably your best bet.

PE will respond positively if your friend has a receipt for shopping on the relevant date.

Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

C-M thanks for that, had a feeling it was them rouges, but the figures given seemed a bit low...£40/70.
I did have a look at farcebook, but only found the homepage, i dont use that site a lot so not familiar with searching it, must be an age thing!

First port of call aldis methinks

Umkomaas thanks for your input as well, but i must disagree about the rotten food, the one near me has always been ok, and as a bonus its not infected by sparking pie.

Looks like i will be doing the drafting for my friend. thankfully i am, as you put it, more forum savvy but you advice noted. If i get too bogged down, to quote arnie, I'll be back.
