Hi, I was wondering if you guys can help. I have 2 defaults that will be 6 years old next year. I am making payments to clear the debt which Is now with a debt collection agency. If I am still paying it off and it is not settled would it still drop off my file?

Yes.
6 years from the date of default, settled or not.0 -
However if it won't be SB, they're in the position to still go for a CCJ, which could be on there for 6 years more.
They may do this, depending on lender (although if you're making efforts to pay, they probably won't)

I plan on carrying on with the payments as originally agreed with them. Is there a time limit for when they can go for a ccj?0

I thought that it would be SB after 6 years, is this correct? Also if it is can they still take you to court?0

Only statute barred if it has been 6 years since you last paid or acknowledged the debt in writing.Free/impartial debt advice: National Debtline | StepChange Debt Charity | Find your local CAB

Oh I see, as long as it drops of my report. I will carry on paying it as it's a fairly small monthly payment. I guess the good news is that it will be off my report.0
