Flipping heck - that's worse than some Brighton theatre/posh bit car parks!
You are like my husband - whenever he goes to any town or city by car he looks for a car park even if in the evening when on-street bays are free.
Did you not realise that cars can legitimately park on double yellows or a bay in order to collect/load pre-ordered goods?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I know you are saying its a rip off, but doesn't NCP have signs there saying what the tariff is? If you don't agree to it, don't park there it's that simple. They may be scammers but on this its a legitimate charge as by parking there you are agreeing the charge. When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. Stroma is correct. NCP have tariff boards right at the entrance. Cripes! That's more than I used to pay in an underground car park in Chancery Lane in the City for goodness sake!My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016).
For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com0 -
You can understand why local city centres are losing out to out of town retail centres, It is cheaper to drive to the trafford centre and shop for free rather then to park in the L1 in Liverpool. However 18 mins would have only cost £2.50 at L1

I was driving in Swansea yesterday and they have one of those signs that tells you how many spaces there are in car parks, over a thousand were available in the multi storeys, which obviously charge. But within 3 miles of the town centre there are 2 large retail parks that have free parking.
Swansea is dying on its feet, one area the kingsway has half its shops and business premises boarded up, they have introduced a mad one way system there, that together with expensive parking has driven people away from the chaos that is Swansea. They are also got road works on another major road, it's only been dug up about 5 times in the last decade, the signs there says it's for 33 weeks! When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. Leeds City Centre is ridiculous to drive through because of the one way systems they have in place. It was difficult enough trying to find a place near the shop to park at. There was only disabled bays outside the shop, otherwise I'd have parked there.
No, didn't realisehow long are you allowed to do that?

Swansea suffers because Cardiff is such a decent city near by.
I can't stand driving or trying to park in leeds, until I realised how good premier inn was for parking...:)
As other people have said with ncp you know what you ate going to be chargedProud to be a member of the Anti Enforcement Hobbyist Gang.:D:T0 -
Swansea doesn't really suffer because of Cardiff , Swansea suffers because of Swansea City Council and their madcap ideas. Their policies over decades has resulted in the city centre being ruined, their car hating policies are directly responsible for a lot of things happening, of course the recession doesn't help as people are skint. When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. Do you stroma? I always got the impression when living in Wales that cardiff was first choice.

Depends on your perspective, but a supermarket is a supermarket no matter where you go, most retailers are duplicated and there are not many differences between them all. Cardiff is a bigger place and has a lot going for it, but again it has problems similar to Swansea
Though I prefer Bridgend for shopping to be honest. When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
