I was retuning a small rug to ikea today. You have to take a ticket and wait. Above the ticket machine it says we will endeavour to process your return in 9 minutes.
The sign above that is live waiting time said the current waiting time for returns is 38 minutes.
I waited 53 minutes.
I then got stuck in traffic as there was a Nasty accident on the motorway.
If I'd have. Been five mins earlier I'd have missed the accident and not been sat on a closed slip road.
I got home almost three hours later than planned. (at ikea not the poor people in the accident)

Their customer service is shocking. Went there once to buy a few things that were coming across from the warehouse. The wait was literally hours - despite the warehouse being 500 yards away! Luckily I live nearby so we were able to go home and come back later.0

Damn that Ikea deliberately holding you up to get you stuck in traffic.
Look on the bright side, if they had have served you 3 minutes earlier it could have been you involved in the accident.35, semi retired, sun, sand, sea, life is good
When you are done moaning remember that there are people who would love to have your standard of living!0 -
Shock horror, shop that sells goods cheap also has cut price customer service.
Who would have thought.0 -
Ikea are pretty rubbish about stuff like this. They're understaffed. Deliberately so to keep costs down. I guess you sign up to all that when you choose to shop there.
As for the accident, it's an irrelevancy really and, like Truepat says, better to be stuck waiting for an accident to clear than actually involved in one."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -
That's very true. I feel a bit better about it now0
