It started in the US 3 years ago. Buyers have to be eligible to take part. Can't see it effecting anyone other than Paypal. Anything that encourages buyers to spend more money can't be bad for sellers.

Bought some vitamins from on line seller (not eBay) and system used was Paypal delayed payment, found this useful as payment not completed until goods were received, which took nearly two weeks.
  • This has been on my account about 4 months now. No problems with it.
  • I've just discovered that my account has been set up for this, not my doing. I'd rather pay straight away and see my bank a/c debited in the normal way. If I've paid £500 or more for something I don't want to have to remember for a week or two that my bank balance isn't spendable! If you go into your paypal profile and My Money, it shows up in blue next to the prime funding source, just click to change it back to normal.

I got an email to say I was eligible for this. Decided to sign up to it anyway to trial it (you can turn it off in settings apparently) and have used it for the first time today.

I was wondering though, what makes one person eligible and another person not eligible?
