General help re: Noddle report

Hi all. I wonder whether anyone can help with some questions I have re: my recent Noddle search please?
I recently wrote to Orange/EE to cancel my mobile contract (moved to a rural property so was only means of cancellation available) and duly cancelled the DD. Whilst visiting my mum's last week, there was a letter informing me that my account was in arrears and debt passed to collection agents. I was really upset as I'm really careful where finances are concerned, so called them up to rectify immediately. Long story short, they had no trace of letter but reduced the original £48 outstanding to £12 (to cover 1mth cancellation period I was required to give).
I ordered a Noddle report to ascertain whether this had impacted credit scores and it's a horrible red blot showing as late payment. I am mortified! Is there anyway this can be amended given account is now settled and closed?
Also, whilst reviewing the report, I noticed I am still linked to an ex-boyfriend... I've read about a notice of disassociation - is this what I need? If so, what information should it contain?
Sorry if these are basic questions... have a very new baby so brain is not functional by any means!
Thank you for any help you can provide.
