Online order delivered to wrong address - what next?

Earlier this month I ordered 3 items on the Play website. It was only when the delivery didn't arrive that I checked and realised that I had not updated my delivery address when we moved house in 2012. The items had been delivered to my old house.
I went around to that house to hopefully intercept them, as they were gifts. Unfortunately the lady at the house said that they had returned them to the sellers.
2 of the 3 items have been received back at the seller, and they have sent to my new address.
The 3rd item, a copy of Grand Theft Auto 5, has not been received back.
Does anybody have any experience of dealing with this kind of issue? Further info is:
- paid for by credit card that is registered to my new address, but was registered to my old address
- the new owner of the house told me that the item was a copy of Grand Theft Auto so had clearly opened the package
- the seller is denying receiving it back but no tracking was used
Can anybody offer any advice?
Thanks!

The above facts belong to everybody; the opinions belong to me; the distinction is yours to draw...

Yes, check that your delivery address is correct.
If Play haven't received the item back then they're unlikely to send out a new copy FOC. Your fault that it shipped to the wrong address and the owner of your old house has no obligation to ensure that the item was sent back by a secure method.
Order a new copy and learn by the mistake.0 -
The mistake is yours alas. I made a similar mistake a few years ago & my goods were never returned by new home owners & it was too far for me to travel to see if they were there at my old address.
Sometimes we just have to take responsibility for our own actions, or lack of action in this case. The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0
