Newbie help needed with UKCPS parking fine

I received a fine for parking in a UKCPS car park for leaving the site. I did do this however the car was parked in a parking bay outside an empty retail unit, and returned within the 2 hour parking limit. Do I need to pay this. Today is the last day to pay at £60 before it increases to £100.

Any replies gratefully received.

Give us the date of contravention, was it a windscreen PCN or ANPR? Have you received the NtK and if so, what was the date? And have you contacted the PPC?

Lastly, was this in England/Wales and is it a company car?

I didn't know this forum existed I only found it on google today. I was just going to pay the fine but remembered reading something about private car parks.

The parking notice was on my windscreen. This is the only thing I have, there has been nothing else sent to me.

The car park is in Gateshead, England.

I forgot to say it was in my own car not a company vehicle.

If all you've had so far is a windscreen ticket (ie no other correspondence through the post from the PPC) then you must await the Notice to Keeper which you won't receive until at least day 29 but has to be with you by day 56 after the parking contravention.

So wait for that, make no contact with the PPC. In the meantime you need to get yourself more information about how you will tackle this after receipt of the NtK. Not at all. You will get lots of help on here. As said, take a bit of time while waiting to read some threads - but beware, it can become addictive! Look forward to hearing from you again when you get your NtK.
