Lloyds defending

Hi guys,

I have recieved an Acknowledgement of Service from Money Claim on line County Court Northampton, which indicates Lloyds Solicitors;
Sechiari Clark & Mitchell of Brighton intend to defend the claim.

Obviously a number of us have taken the banks to court through this system, so I wanted to know if this is the usual response and if so what happens next, and if it isnt the normal response what might be happening :confused:

    Intending to defend is not the same as putting in a Defence. There are some cases where Lloyds forgot and the claimant was able to file a judgement by default. Acknowledging the claim gives them an additional 14 days to defend, if they do, you will receive notice from court, with the Defence papers. Then you might have to fill in an Allocation Questionnaire, you might not. Increasingly, courts are dispensing with these. You might then get a court date, or you might get a letter from Lloyds TSB giving in. We got our offer for return of the whole amount together with their Defence from Lloyds' solicitors a day after they had pressed the Defence button. So everything is possible. Just hang in there.

    I also recieved the same letter today from Northampton court also staing that SCAM intend to defend all of this claim (i'm attempting to reclaim £1136.95) I'm now bricking it and am sure i'll go to pieces if it actually goes to court, i actually feel like forgetting about it all now and writing it all off.
