Hi all, bit freaked out at the moment. We've just had a letter posted which is one of the standard envelopes that the council provide to send off your electoral register form thing, which we filled in and sent over a month ago. It was folded into four, so not like a postman. The envelope is unopened and there is absolutely nothing on it to identify to our address. I opened it and yes there is our form dated 21 October.
So, why or how would someone know to hand deliver a letter which has zero indication of where its come from to our address (unopened), said letter being over a month old?

you never posted it and it's fallen out of a pocket or something?0

Nope, OH put it in the postbox over a month ago.0

Form got muddled up in the post and didn't make it to it's intended destination so somebody put it back through your door, maybe?
Quite odd not to have a note on it.
If there are no changes to your information I would do it online. It's simple and you know that it's got there.0 -
Perhaps the person who found the form had a spare envelope, opened your form put it in the spare envelope and posted it through you door?

The council here never use post for these forms...They have people collect them and hand deliver...Maybe you never signed it or filled it in wrong and it has been returned..It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.0 -
Perhaps someone forgot to post it and didn't want to tell you....."It is not uncommon for slight acquaintances to get married, but a couple really have to know each other to get divorced." - Anonymous

I live in Lincoln and this is standard practice. The council send people out to deliver the forms in a plain unaddressed envelope to everyone who they haven't received a response from when the initial postal form was sent out - we always send our initial form back, but often receive the unaddressed follow up anyway. I assume that the people who deliver the follow up forms have a separate list of names and addresses to deliver to.0
