NCP FINE for parking in reserved bay.

Hey everyone,

So basically I parked in a reserved bay by accident in a private NCP carpark. The terms and conditions for the car park are barely visible when entering the car park. Not only that the reserved sign is a tiny silver plaque which is also barely visible when sat in your vehicle, and there is no mention of a fine on it. I appealed the fine, but didn't leave my name address or anything. Which was also a nightmare because I still hadn't heard anything until emailing the CEO of NCP! Which then my appeal got turned down anyway. Probably because they decide themselves. The whole system is totally unfair to clients using the car park. Somebody please help me about what to do I'm worried about being taken to court if I don't pay the fine. Or even bailiffs turning up at my door :( should I pay now even though it's £100 for an hours parking and nobody else was even in a reserved place. I don't want bad credit for not paying. The fine was issued 14 days ago. Pleaaaase help me.

    Best of luck.
  • There is lots of help on the internet from people who have a lot of experience with appealing parking fines. If you just do a basic google search e.g 'ncp parking fine appeal' you will find lot of links to help you. My daughter was issued a ticket at Birmingham airport recently just for stopping for 30 seconds to pick up her boyfriend. Letter of appeal sent after research on the internet and they cancelled the ticket, result!
    Good luck!
