estimate my bill please

im a single 22 year old guy,moving in my own 2 bed semi.what u rekon my gas/elec bill will be roughly per month?is it better to get them combined or not?when im not in the house or at work nothing will b being used so id imagine it shouldnt be sky high.cheers

Depends on so many factors - insulation of house - efficiency of boiler - how warm you like house - baths or showers etc etc

£50 a month would be a guess.

The on-line accounts for dual fuel tend to be the cheapest - use the comparison sites. Enter, say, 3000kWh for electricity and 20,000kWh for gas to get an indication.

If I was setting the initial dd based on that information it would probably be around £25 gas and £22 electricity per month, although I would usually quote a couple of pounds more than that and bring it down if you weren't happy. Others may have different opinions though.

Don't forget to register with the existing supliers when you move in and give them the meter readings even if you are thinking of switching.

How on earth can you afford a 2 bedroom semi at 22? Im guessing you must be from the North?? Im 23 and just about to stretch to the limit on getting a 1 bedroom maisonette down here in Hampshire. I too was looking for an estimate on bill cost and now I have a rought idea, thank you! :j

Also, remember if you live on your own you can apply for 25% off council tax too!! :T
