Holes in my clothes, any thoughts please

Hi
This might sound a bit of a strange one but desperate for anyone's ideas.
I have fitted wardrobes, about two years old, I'm not saying this is the problem but just a thought.
Over the past few months, I have been noticing that I am getting small holes in some of my clothes, in some it might be three or four and in other tops it might be twenty.
It tends to be in tops that are of a thinner cotton material, it isn't the washer as one of them was brand new and not been near it.
At first I thought I must have moths but have checked and checked and checked and there is nothing I can see in the wardrobe, on the shelves or the walls.
I have seen moths before as the house my parents moved into had them.
Can anyone please give any thought as to what it might be.
It's costing me a fortune and it's ruining some of my favourite stuff.
Thanks
Jules

You say it isn't moths because you haven't found any, but have you used any kind of moth killer to be certain?
I think I'd put in some moth killer for a few days & then check to see if there are any dead bodies lying about. :eek:The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0 -
Thanks for the above.
Can you recommend some kind of moth killer. i thought I would have at least one if it was them but willing to give them a try, I am desperate.
I read the article recommended which talked about people storing clothes over winter. These are my day to day clothes and not jumpers, ties etc, mostly t-shirt style tops.

You need to launder all the contents of the wardrobe/drawers, vacuum the floor throughly pulling out any thing against the wall or with gaps underneath.
It is almost certainly carpet bugs as moj said. I would spray the wardrobe, under the bed with moth killer (supermarket) try and get some cedar wood balls to put in the draws, and cedar wood loops for the coat hangers. This deters the little swines. In future store unused clothes in large zip / vacuum seal bags.My Mind wanders, if found please return.0
