Advents ?

Hi a lot of you seem to be looking forward to/talking about the advent competitions, could someone explain what they are, I would think they are just some kind of countdown to xmas competitions but will they be titled on the board as Advents
or are they just competitions for xmas

I wish someone would be so kind as to answer this because it's got me puzzled too. Anyone? How do they work? Are they worth the time and effort? Easy to do?

thi is often asked - basically advents are shed loads of daily entry comps either for daily prizes or a mahoosive one on the last day

As hamsterfan says above, Advents are basically Christmas-orientated dailies. Lots and LOTS of companies and websites run competitions along the lines of "the 12 days of Christmas" - "a giveaway a day throughout December" etc etc where you enter each day for a specific prize. It can get pretty hectic as there are so many out there, so the best thing to do in the first few days of December is to weigh up which ones have prizes you're most interested in for the effort needed.


Are they worth the time? That's like asking how long is a piece of string. Ask somebody who's won a laptop or a TV and they'll undoubtedly say yes. Ask somebody, like myself, who last year just won a Pringles speaker (grrr!!) and they'll most likely say - hmmm - not exactly "worth it" but fun all the same, and you've got to be in it to win it!!
