Rehoming two cats

My sister and her husband are moving back to our area and in with our mother to save for a mortgage. They currently have a dog and four cats. We have rearranged our lives as much as we can in order to help her keep most of them. We have managed to accommodate the dog and two of the cats but sadly the youngest two will have to be rehomed
They are moving next week and thus far they have had no luck. They have done local adverts, tried friends, posts on facebook but nothing. Does anyone here have any advice in regards to any other methods for rehoming them successfully?

Poor cats, very irresponsible behaviour by your sister and brother in law, but well done for trying to mitigate the damage.
Have they contacted local rescue centres?0 -

Oh i know, don't get me started because I would be here forever. They definitely got carried away.
I'm not sure if they have contacted a local centre as they are a bit out in the sticks, but I will try and look for one up here.First home purchased 09/08/2013

Definitely get in touch with some, they probably on't have a lot of room but its worth a try, much better than Gumtree/Facebook etc.0

Just a little update, we have managed to find a home for the two little kitties
thanks you very much for all the help and suggestions, as always!
And don't worry, if I hear them utter a single word about getting more pets before they themselves are properly settled I shall personally bang their heads together.First home purchased 09/08/2013
