Sandboxie problem

Hi experts,
I have just downloaded sandboxie, It has placed an icon on the desktop to open default web browser, unfortunately it opens Internet explorer.
I use Safari, but in the dropdown menu there is no sandboxie option. Presumably because Safari is not designed for windows ( I have a windows 7 laptop)
I would be happy to use Firefox if someone can help me to make it the default browser.
Thanks, AE

Please cancel the above, I managed it.
Would still like to know if Safari can be opened in Sandboxie though, AEI am not a cat (But my friend is)0 -
Worst case scenario, delve into Windows Explorer via SandBoxie, go to Programs and execute Safari from there.0

I am pretty certain that it opens the default web browser, therefore you must have IE set as your default even though you use a different browser. I do the same thing because PaleMoon usually has hundreds of tabs open and I don't want all that opening for something I want to see quickly.
You can just right click any icon and select Run Sandboxed. Or you can open the Sandboxie control window and Sandbox->defaultbox->Run Sandboxed-> then either Run any program or Run from start menu0 -
Free version - this is MSE you know.
The reason I asked is that the free version operates slightly differently from the paid-for version (the paid-for version is well worth getting by the way as it can make your browsing and email activities virtually watertight).
The free version will force any of its listed browsers which you have set up as the default, such as Firefox or IE, to operate Sandboxed. However as you quite rightly point out Safari is not on its list so would not be automatically recognised.
However if you want Safari as your default browser and have it automatically open in Sandboxie every time you start a browsing session you can set this up manually as follows:
Open the Sandboxie window
Select - Sandboxie - Default Box -Sandbox Settings
In the Sandbox Settings window select Program Start - Forced Programs
Click on Add Programs and type in the box Select or Enter Program " safari.exe " ( without the quotes)
Click OK - click Apply - click OK
And you should be good to go
If at any time you want use a browser other than your default browser simply right click on the browser icon and select Run Sandboxed. The paid- for version would allow you to force any number of programmes to automatically run Sandboxed without having to remember to manually select them each time.
Hope this helps.0
