Samsung tab problem

Samsung tab, cant open google and google chrome closes and returns to main screen, any ideas whats causing this please and how I can rectify it? Thanks.
I tried calling the Samsung helpline yesterday and will continue to do so after 8am.

Clear Data Clear Cache .
Likewise for whatever your Google app is .
Restart phone .

Google chrome recently updated and it's not a good one. I have a Galaxy Note 10.1 and I'm now having issues with text size on websites (changing the text size in settings makes no difference) and quite a few menus and buttons no longer work.

You can try uninstalling and reinstalling, and restart your Tab after the install. If not, try using another browser until Google repair their update. Firefox isn't too bad.

It's a tab not a phone, does that make a difference or are they basically the same?

Pretty much as they both use android 4.2

Spoke too soon, its crashed again. No google and chrome is closing itself.
