I've been usin the MeeGo Pramette for two months, and would not recommend it.
At first I loved it, it's lightweight, seemed functional and budget-friendly.
However, for a British product from a British company, the instructions are terrible. Assembling the carry-cot has to be done via guesswork, there are no instructions on this aspect. Similarly, there are no instructions on how to fit/secure the car seat in your car.
As if the lack of instructions weren't enough to put you off, after literally 6 short trips out the house, my pram started veering to the right and there was a screw that kept working itself loose in the lower right hand side of the chassis. So I took it back to the shop and was given a replacement. After three short walks, this second one is also veering to the right. No screw is sticking out this time, however, for some reason it just does not go in a straight line, irrespective of which setting I have the front wheels set to.
One dodgy pram is bad luck, two dodgy prams suggests a serious manufacturing issue and death-risk for my child.
Also, straight out of the box both have had loose threads and scratched screws and fittings - both of which suggest shoddy construction.
I've requested a refund (don't yet know if the retailer will authorise it), and also contacted a couple of consumer groups to ascertain if other owners have the same issue.
Look out for this product on BBC's Watchdog programme - I have no doubt this will end up on there sometime soon, especially given the numerous similar reports online.0
