Probate Office and junk mail

Since dealing with probate for my father's modest estate (mother still alive) I have been receiving junk mail which I can only associate with the probate application. My brother, sister and I were joint executors and we used my address for correspondence. Without a doubt it is the only time their names have been associated with my address. I am unable to ascertain the origin of any of my junk mail but there seems to be no doubt as to the origin of the mail sent to both of them at my address.

I don't like to think of employees of financial orientated businesses trawling through the probate forms to compile lists of people they think may have some spare cash. I know the documents are public but the security was very hot when we went there and surely searches should only be allowed for legitimate reasons.

The only alternative is that an employee of the Probate Office is selling the lists but I have discounted this as they will all be people of high integrity.

Has anyone else had this happen to them?

Not exactly a money saving issue, but a warning to others to be on their guard against any inviting looking offers by these junk mailers. I choose my own companies by reutation and recommendation.

I have emailed their contact address with a query but am waiting for a reply as it is on autorespond.
