Can't pay my payday loan!!

Hi all !
I got a payday loan out stupid me ! With mrlender...I cannot afford to pay it back :-( just wondering if they will contact my work? As I've told a white lie and said I've been made redundant ..but really I haven't.
I've been contacting them via email, stating I will be making monthly payments
I just don't want them phoning my work!
anyone dealt with mrlender before ?

Did you give your work details ?
How come you can't pay ?
Why did you take the loan out ?

You better contact them and tell them you can't pay.
  • I doubt they believe your lie. If you'd been made redundant, you'd likely have a redundancy payment with which to make the payment. Or they will assume you were lying about having a job in the first place.

But it's probably unlikely they will phone your work either way, though who knows.

Why can't you pay it back? Can you not sell something to make the payment or at least roll it over?
  • We'll I've been on their site to look at my account details and can't see anything about my work on there? So I'm not sure
I have contacted them and said I can't pay and asked if I can set up a payment plan etc...it's a roll over so would be £150 I needed to pay this month...I just can't afford it I have other bills etc to pay and cut my hours down at work as I went of with stress. Main thing is I don't want them contacting my work ! But surely if I'm keeping contact with them they won't ?
  • To be honest don't even know why I said I been made redundant it was the first thing that came into my head! Oh we'll
Sure all will be fine and ill set a payment plan up

What would be the problem with them contacting your work?

All it takes is one call can to your works..Can i speak to xxx its an urgent private matteR.

Then they will know you told them lies and less likely to trust you.

You need to contact them and come to an agreement.

  • OP I would advise you to be open and honest with the loan company. And look to pay back what you owe ASAP.

And learn from this experience ie never take out another loan again!!

Lying to them opens you up to a trashed credit rating, and fraud charges!!

I have no idea why people get loans from these sort of companies, if you can't afford to pay it back then my advice is don't and I mean never get any loans, its that simple.

Sometimes thought it's just seen as the easy way out (Sorry, no offense intended OP) and rather than go without something they'll just get a loan and worry about it later.

Re telling porkies to the loan company, I shouldn't worry too much, it's not advised but I've never heard of one phoning up to check something.

There are a good few threads on here where they've done exactly that. They want their money back, and are wise to the scams, so if they have the OP's work number, it's possible that they'll try calling there, to try to pressure them into paying.

OP, you should looko ebaying some of your possessions to pay back what you owe, as otherwise this could well snowball, and you don't want that.
