How about the same suit as BM but slightly lighter/darker suit/cravat/waistcoat. So he is 'tonally' correct within your colour scheme but isn't the same as the Groom and the Groomsmen?

I think we're agreed on the same colour suit but dads gonna be in lilac, bm in purple and oh in silver so they all match the rest of the colour scheme. took him reading this tho for him to realise what he was doing. Argh men! Xxx
