for a few weeks i have had the EML come on with the depolloution system faulty warning, it doesnt happen all the time, sometimes it goes for days with out the light coming on.

Anyway code the code read and it was ;
P0238 Turbocharger Boost Sensor A Circuit high

replaced the turbo boost pressure sensor, yet still im getting the intermitant warning and EML, with the same error code.


sometimes it comes on when ive accelerated hard in (revs up to about3000rpm) light stays on for a day then goes off again, still pulls well, mpg still about 56mpg


I have noticed before the EML comes on the few miles before the car seems a little bit down on power, like its not running right, then next day its fine :mad::mad:

Variable vane turbocharger? Sticking vanes possibly or the actuator/controller is faulty.

Sounds like its worse when hot, So thats when you need to check it.

thanks,would that mean i need a new turbo?

its just strange i can drive it for days, on all road types, driven hard, and just thru town and its fine, it also drives fine - turbo boosting when the EML is on too

It may just need a clean. But you want it removed and cleaned not one of these procedures that spray liquids into the intake.
