Question: what would you do in this situation?

It looks like I might get some work back at the old company I used to work for. I've not had any work for two and a half months now but I'm worried that they'll offer me something that's a lot more junior than what I've been doing recently. Would you take it? I've not had the offer yet so maybe I'm worrying for nothing and they'll suggest something great.

BUT I'm torn between- a jobs a job and worrying it'll negatively impact my career as I'll get a reputation for doing anything for money. I don't know anyone else in the industry who has had to make this compromise. All my other friends seem to go up and up and up and generally seem more valued.

Anyway like I said I don't know it's going to be a lot more junior but what would you do?

I would take it, we both know how rare work is. Don't extend your contract though and plough for a higher rate ;)

Sorry, but :rotfl: You may want to rephrase that part :p

Seriously though. I currently work part time for a company that I left a few years back swearing blind they had seen the back of me. For me, having the cash is/was more important than holding a grudge

Only you can decide what you want to do. I took it as a positive that they wanted me back/couldn't fill my shoes IYSWIM

haha I think it was phrased right the first time. You should've seen what she did when I took her out last night (and I didn't call her back) ;)

oh i see, thought it was one of those you bid for suitcases but you dont know whats in them, remember someone going to one think it may have been lala.

I used to think the sealed pot challenge was spending pennies on cans of food that had no labels and not knowing if dinner would be baked beans or cat food :o:o:o

    :rotfl:

In my defence, I'm sure I saw it on a program years ago. Honest guv'nor

    yup, seems so

That's why I wonder what day 24 will be (but also I don't want to know because I won't qualify)

i started on 2nd on mine and 3rd on his. My eldest was delighted I gave him it. Will see if the four day thing holds up tomo

Been a good week. Quid co, shopitize and MSL all paid out. Golden wonder sent a cheque that I banked :kisses3: Used BS card, Piggy bank , mobile phone holder , morries bobs and lip glosses. Not to mention all that loo roll.

Had east coast train vouchers but they wouldnt work on east coast train routes apparently !?? Give up, that was a pain cause I was the one that went to Asda at 0650 hours and posted the code

    But not to bad :)

Take your phone to M&S and show them the text at the till they should be able to put the code into their till and give you them for free.

Word of warning, I got mine in an M&S Outlet store and the code wouldn't go through the till even though the food bit isn't Outlet at all. The manager was lovely though and put it through as a coupon for me!

I would imagine you will have less trouble in a normal M&S!
