Just discovered the following from a receipt check of one of my shops:

SP Raspberry Swiss Roll is currently vs M only. Returning N/A vs T. SP Spaghetti Loops tin is best vs M. So that hopefully you won't get caught out like I did! Also SP Tomato soup & SP Veg soup are comparing to M at 24p each (but I didn't get caught by that).

Oh, how we miss the information from those Morries collections.:(:(

This week - just to let you know, I'm swinging towards (perhaps could have chosen a better phrase but, hey ho:rotfl:) doing an M memorisation thing on Wednesday and then, next week, one on the Monday (which we take to be almost still useful all week) as I've other things on Wednesday week.:):)

I think I'm liking the new memory 'quick trip through store' things, in a sense because they take less than an hour, still give much of the same information as we had before (albeit the odd things get missed now) and leave me with more time to spare on Wednesdays (usually) to do other things or catch up better with T and S's offers than before. It is less a task, but I was doing very well on the previous ones, which I liked better in a way for that reason, until I was interrupted..!!

:xmassign: I'd spend £3.96 on 2 if there was a third item in the same offer that was a trigger and didn't appear... but I suspect your womblee wasn't thinking like that so, yes, they are a MUGGLE.

I couldn't resist posting my shop from this afternoon vs Waities - no glitch - I managed to get an exact eight items that were available in the store for the best I could vs W., but, not sure whether it saves money or not, it is Savvy buying - given that the four comparable items could only have been got vs W (nowhere else matching or bettering W's prices) and the all the four non-comp. could not have been put on any other shop for 10% off and all are the best priced based on sizes/price per unit.

    And the Morries comp:

Allowing anyone who wishes to go through the shop and waste their time checking whether or not every item was best on that shop!:D If you think it's 'unsavvy', in any respect and why, let me know!:):)

I had that voice telling me, on seeing the 85p Fruit Salad, no, that's versus T and *not* vs W. SP Instant Mash - that's vs T and not W, and SP Peanuts, they are vs T, S or M not vs W:rotfl:. (Emphasis as the thought 'voice' came across in my mind.) And, when I could find only the Oust Clean Scent, no, it's not that one, it's the Outdoor one vs W. Couldn't find any Outdoor Scent (I suppose not unreasomable given it's either winter or nearly winter, depending on what definition of that you use) so left, from memory, finding an item to make the 8! Got there! Get in..!:D

(We had this really 'severe' teacher once, who wanted the exact right answer to every question, glad he got me thinking that way - coupled with my usual helpful pedantry and exactitude (now there's a word that appeared somewhere before:rotfl::rotfl:).)

I need this "not vs W, vs S instead" insistent thing to come into my mind to drum it into me when I'm in the store sometimes, given the several mistakes I've made over the years of picking up wrong items. Glad to say they seem fairly rare now - apart from the New Pots:o:o on a very recent shop.

The only thing that I can think of Savvy is that you should get a cat then you could have added £4.44 to your apg by buying 3 felix:D:D

I presumed it was a spoof tip like the Top Tips from Viz.

Along the lines of using phone directories as personal address books by simply scoring out the names of people you don't know.

Or chillingyour fish tanks in the deep freeze before moving house so that the "water won't spill in the removal van.

Or saving batteries by removing them from your door chimes ( but checking the front door every ten minutes in case of unexpected visitors)
    Top MSE tips :rotfl:

Thought I'd post this link to see if any of the ELITE might find the tips amusing. And moneysaving of course!:D
