I am looking to do an apg shop tomorrow v's W.

I want to buy these http://www.mysupermarket.co.uk/waitrose-price-comparison/Biscuits/Foxs_Marvellous_Selection_400g.html

womdering of it would compare? I haven't done a apg shop in a while and have forgotten if 2 for 1's compare?

any help / answers appreciated. Thank you in advance :) FF xx

    Patty - try here http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.php?f=14

I got a fellow mse'er to help and unlocked 3 nokia phones for free previously. If the tecchies on there cannot help, let me know. I think there is a online site my sister used who generated and sent her a code for £3.99 and it unlcoked her phone to use with any sim. hth :)

    Hi, I'm back after a bit of a sort-out and tidy-up.

Sorry, no. These Fox's won't compare and will return N/A. I was looking at them this morning before I went and did my vs W shop.

The position on 2 for 1s (AKA bogo"f"s or, sometimes, 2 for the price of an inflated 1) on the APG is complex to everyone save myself. Some compare and some do not. In brief:rotfl:, put simply, where the individual prices of all items in the offer at the competitor is the same, they compare; where there are any items of different prices in the mix and match bogo'f' at the competitor, they no longer compare.

(It's a bit more complicated than that, as I believe, they do compare, but not against promotional pricing, but only if you buy fewer than the number required at the competitor for the offer - i.e. fewer than 2 if it is a bogo'f' (2 for '1') at the competitor, in other words buying one may compare vs full price (if you buy nothing else that triggers the competitor's offer and thus returns with N/A.)

In the case of the item in question, Fox's Marvellous Biscuits 400g, they are £3.99 individual price at W. However, W's offer also has items that are £2.48 individual price (Fox's Favourites 400g), £6.00 individual price (McVities Classic Collection etc.) and others. Therefore, they will be N/A whether you buy 2x Fox's Marvellous or try to 'mix and match' vs W's offer.

In other words, for example, assuming you think 2 packs of 400g Fox's Favourites are worth a total of £2.48, the answer seems to be "buy 2 in Waitrose".

Whereas, for example, the Ski 4 pack yoghurts at T are on £1.69 2 for '1', and all the items in that promo. are individual prices of £1.69, therefore buying 2 in A will compare vs T's bogo'f' (albeit that these were 84p each last week and therefore are now a half-penny price increase and having to buy dual in order to make the "saving"). Of course, this assumes the versions you buy are on msm and in the APG and thus pick up T's price (if you buy one that isn't on msm, it won't appear and compare and thus if that left just one item in the offer, not two, comparing vs T it would compare the one to full price. If the item was on mbuy in A though, it may be the 'trigger' situation and then you'd be looking for the remaining number, that do appear on the APG, preferably to match a number required for a competitor or for them to be on price reduction, e.g. half price for buying just one, at the rival store. This last bit is trite and well-known to the Elite).

    HTH.

I have my gas/electric with EON wish they would listen when I ring them.

I had my latest bill yesterday and am in credit on my bill

Last 3 bills they have sent me email saying they reducing my DD by £9 a month.

I have to ring them and tell them to leave it as it is

So 8am tomorrow will be on phone stupid EON

I feel better being in credit and can keep heating on timer this year unlike last year when I was feared putting it on and sat in the cold shivering.

Also EON had better not put the credit back into my bank account like they did in May or I will be extra  with them.
