Some people have less affinity to animals than others, so [3] whereas we can all understand someone losing a relative, the emotions felt on someone else's loss of a pet [1] will depend on the individual's attitude to animals. [2] So non-animal lovers can sympathise but not empathise.

[1] Depends on that and not an autistic/non-autistic distinction?
    [2] Isn't this a bit circular?
[3] Can we? If I take "all" literally, I don't think we can all understand losing a relative, as some emotionless psychopaths cannot. Can a murderer understand losing a relative that may have been, but not necessarily was, the person they killed?? A long way off-topic maybe - but another unusual take on things from me. I think the vast majority of us can understand losing a relative. And all people can understand someone losing a relative, except for the deviant minority that are psychopathic murderers or whatever the correct term is instead of "psychopath". All people, except... Which therefore isn't "all"!

It's alright - no-one will have noticed that I hadn't update my sig.
Otherwise they would have given a response saying so.

(Clueless on that last point! In other words, I can't be, as I wouldn't have recognised it there if I was.)

Savy, whilst I understand the psychology behind emotions re: animals death, I do not really get the same feelings.

I had to take my mums dog to be put down, the vet nurse was crying and all I was thinking was thank god it is not suffering any more! I think I am reasonably normal... but normal does not exist!

Thanks for answering that, what I already thought - so I am pretty 'normal' in that respect then. Although if I'd been in the vets, :o:oI probably wouldn't have even clicked that the nurse was crying at all.!

Let's just say some deviations are acceptable whereas others are not. And that some deviations are assumed as implied as being excluded from what is said (such as silvercar's 'we can all understand...') - in other words it wasn't meant literally.

I [edit: was] still left clueless about whether or not I [was] clueless though.:rotfl:

    [Edit: Good - I'm not clueless!!:j:j]

If I wrote about my deviations, I would have to kill you!

You are not clueless, but at times you are literal other times less so.

Ps the killing was a joke. And if I ever tell you I want to run away with you and have your babies... don't take this literally as I am too old to have babies or to run!

    ;););););)

Rose sorry to hear of the sad loss of your aunty. Sounds an awful way to go. :( You and your family are in my thoughts. xx :A

And sorry I missed the news earlier. :o I will admit I did not read all of the post then so thanks Locarr for letting us know.

Thanks to you and all who sent condolences. She was a stalwart when I nearly lost sight in one eye 10 years ago and was a real help and someone to talk to earlier this year when I was going through it with dd. She lost her first husband was married to the second for 18 years and he was a !!!!!!! to her and had a chap the last few years who basically ran away when she went into hospital cause he got frightened he would have to look after her.
My sis and I moved all the contents of her flat 2 weeks ago as she had arranged to sell it before she got ill and my sister offered to store it all as she has a large barn to store her catering stuff. She had very little to show for 72 years on this earth mainly because her 2nd husband kept a lot of her stuff. It was almost like she packed up her life and then left this earth. Its very sad cause before she got ill the last time she was in hospital was to have her son 50 years ago.
Funeral a week on Monday. Very sad.

Hi all hope everyone is well...FC so sorry to hear of Brian I am a cat person too they are so precious.

I managed a few Nouvelle coupons yesterday luckily and am starting to build my stash, just a reminder too that T's have their Foodbank today and will happily take toilet roll, they had one of my packs I thought I could spare it!

I was told before that they get a lot of food but not much household type stuff ( more than likely as they call it a Foodbank lol) but they would appreciate bog roll if anyone has plenty of vouchers and doesn't mind giving some away.

Just a note about coupons too, usually if the coupon barcode ends in 0000 it will ask the SA to input a price, usually these are the "free" coupons you can use in different stores and therefore different prices. You won't get these through SS :( they will always need approval.

If the barcode ends in numbers you need to take the last number off and the 3 numbers before the last one will be the amount it scans for. EG last 4 numbers 1297 will scan at £1.29. These will be OK for SS.

Of course there will be exceptions but that's usually the case, just making peeps aware the Nouvelle vouchers will ask for assistance and why.

    :)

Apologies for those of you that already know but could be useful to some and save anyone too much :o:o:o!

    :D
:) Learn from the past, enjoy and appreciate the present and work to make your future the best it can possibly be :)

    And get lots of glitches!

If I am honest the nurse just annoyed me!

I prefer to use humour... but I have made some inappropriate jokes and continue to do so, it is just me! If people get annoyed with me hey ho. I am who I am!

    Many thoughts and hugs Rose.

Right - unfortunately the rest of us continue as normal (whatever that is) (unfortunate as it means moving away from Rose's loss - Rose :A) - any answer to my original question about what the Colgate Deep Sensation and the SP Soups are comparing to for Morries? TIA.
