try Royalmail Parcel force 48, its a tracked service and up to 15kg is £22.46. Post office can tell you the accepted dimensions and also level of compensation or go into this link and it calculates it for you

Tosco Seacroft had Tesco Finest Norfolk Leg of Pork (with sea salt and outdoor reared) SEL £4.99 (reduced from £9.99) but those on shelf all £9.99. They are shrink wrapped within a cardboard box in finest colours (ie mainly black) sorry couldn't find a pic on Tosco ..com
Guy just refunded total cost and gave me the meat rather than doing DD (Is this so they don't get in trouble ?) Anyhow same result for me ............
