  • Back from my local Ts Christmas Event - not overly impressed but got a lovely bag to take home - only got mince pies though, nothing else inside. You'd honestly think some people had never seen food before! Some of the people there were like vultures! There were some Ts staff lined up with customers to get food and drinks and also getting the goodie bags - didn't really seem right as surely there were only so many places available. They were still in their uniforms so they weren't even discreet about it!

"Oh sir... it's only wafer thin"

    *boom*

I had Mr Creosote in mind, but it autocorrects 'waffer thin' to wafer thin :rotfl:

Had a feeling MKS would show with all these meat photos appearing:)

:hello: TM. I do like a little meat, especially when it is cost effective ;). It is so rude not to accept the supermarkets offers of half price stuff, we cannot be responsible for their PID. I am also not adverse to having a veggie meal.

With the greatest respect, have you popped your dtd cherry yet?:D

I've got a fridge freezer in the kitchen and a chest freezer in the garage, both full to bursting. I managed to shoehorn a couple of chickens in this morning but there's really no room for anything that isn't wafer thin

I really want to get some of that beef but I will have to buy another freezer :o

It doesn't help that the DTD gammon joint is the size of a small dog

Not been able to go for the chickens, beef or gammon as would not be able to fit it in anywhere. :(

Did manage to empty the top shelf of the indoor freezer about week ago but the ice nearly meets now, so it's completely wasted space. :o That is the one in most desperate need of defrosting about 3 years over due.

I think if I managed to defrost it I might be able to bring everything home from my mum's. And I might need to do that sooner rather than later if someone puts in a decent offer for the bungalow.

I think, in true Elite style, it is simply what is known as a filler .... :)

    Brilliant comment. :T

What have you got in the indoor freezer TS? Is it stuff that you could realistically meal plan for and use up over the next few weeks (even if it means some weird meal concoctions)?

At least if you could empty and defrost it you would at least gain the top compartment back for re-filling...Christmas/New Year whoopsies will be upon us before we know it ;)
