    Not sending flowers is not an option.

    People have donated for funeral flowers, I am not about to spend other peoples money on something else.

    When I first saw the suggestion of "MSE" instead of "Elite", I was a bit miffed and put out, because the suggestion for the collection came from people on this board, as did most of the donations. A couple of people from the coupons board have also very kindly donated, and they approached me to do so.

    However, thinking about it, I do still like the original idea of "Elite", but I am also coming round to "MSE". I also quite liked the idea of "MAD", as I thought it would have made him chuckle, but I also think that shouldnt be done without his family's say so.

    So, for now, we need to decide between "ELITE" and "MSE". My personal preference is for "Elite" but I will go with what the majority say.

    I'm not going to post what I was originally going to, as the thoughts of where this could end up make me feel quite :( I have spent a lot of time this week doing this and I would rather not be made to feel like I have been wasting my time.

    Hi QOC

    Just logged on and sorry to see that there are different opinions regarding the money that has been collected:(:(

    I'm going to give my opinion on this matter...which I don't usually do but anyhow, considering that QOC was quite happy to take on this challenging role of collecting the money I think it only fair that QOC decides what should be done with it! As far as the excess money goes...again QOC should decide then post what she decided.

    At the end of the day does it really matter what QOC decides on... we donated in mads memory and I am positively sure that no matter what the decision is by QOC...it will be the right one!

    I donated in Mads memory and am content with that alone!

    Thank You QOC:beer::beer:

    Oh & I had my foot tattooed today ..

    Well, in the summer I had paid £30 for a gift voucher from Tattooist to give to someone, I then realised, does not deserve it :mad: EVER as they are truly horrid :(

    So I had to use it up ...

    I've been lurking for a while as hubby not very well.

    I'm extremely saddened to hear about Mad, but, when he posted I just knew that the news would soon be not good. Bless him for his vast understatement!:A I couldn't post earlier as was too upset.

    Personally I don't believe in flowers, but I do realise not everyone shares my views. QOC - you're doing a fine job & those that want to give for flowers should have their feelings taken into account. No-one should try and change the gateposts now. I'd prefer to give to a charity that might help us all get rid of this cancer curse - seen too many of my family/friends plagued by this scourge. I made a small donation a couple of days back, wish it could have been more.

    I'm going to do a Sainsburys' double up later with my vast amount of Nectar points & hoping to get most of my Nectar spend back in BM's. If it works & it should, then I'll post. Look out for it as it should be pretty good - even if I say so myself! :):eek:
