We used to buy things ourselves, but as al the kids get older and there are more nieces and nephews, it's not easy to work out who wants/needs what, so my sisters and I have started discussing things and making suggestions for each other to buy (we all have the same budget)
We all ask our mum what she wants and she will list a few things that are out, and we discuss between us who is getting what. Every now and then we will come up with a surprise we know she will love which we club together on.
Most other relatives just get whatever I choose for them, I do try and cater to their likes and dislikes though, rather than just buying a generic toiletry set or suchlikeCross Stitch Cafe member No. 32012 170-194 2013 195-207.Hello Kitty ballerina 208.AVA 209.OLIVIA 210.ELLA 211.CARLA 212.LOUISE 213.CHARLEY 214.Mother & Child 215.Stop Faffing Completed 2014 216.Stitchers Sampler. 217.Let Them Be Small 218.Keep Calm 219. DS1 (almost 4) has just started seeing things he wants. Most of the things he is getting is stuff I have bought throughout the year that I think he will like though. He has said he wants a Furby - and is getting one and he also wants Rainbow Dash which is a My Little Pony. If I can find one, he will be getting that despite the shear horror from OH that his precious son wants 'a girls toy'. He can have what he wants as far as I am concerned as I don't want him to grow up with any stereotypes around gender.0

What is it with men eh?:rotfl:I can't be doing with stereotypes either and happily bought my son a baby when he was little (my concession was a blue outfit because of OH's opinion):p
