Parking charge notice - Care Parking

Hi
I was issued with a parking charge notice on my windscreen today whilst visiting a local The Range store.
I parked my car then 'left site' briefly before planning on visiting the actual store. I must have been no more than 10 mins but noticed the fine attached to my car as I made my way over to the store.
The issue reason given was "Abused patron parking".
I made a point of purchasing a small cost item from the shop to prove I was a customer and as evidence for any appeal.
Care Parking are registered with BPA, and according to their website will request my details from DVLA if I ignore the notice.
What is the best way to now proceed? Reading some of the other threads I'm a bit confused as some say to ignore the notice whist others say appeal.
My initial plan was to appeal via email, without disclosing my personal details and ask what 'Abused patron parking' actually means and enclose a copy of my shop receipt. I also intend to contact the store manager and CEO.
Is there any possibility that the enforcers could of filmed me walking away from the car park? Is this legal? Or do they just rely on word of the man in a van?
Any advice will be greatly received. Thank you.

Appealing to the Range has not been a profitable exercise on here, but that was for overstaying.
In your case, I would approach the manager with your receipt and tell him you had a call of nature and had to leave site, or if you live too far to go in, email or write to him, enclosing a copy of your receipt telling him you were genuine customer and would he arrange cancellation.
Don't bank on it though, so read coupon-mad's sticky at the top of the forum https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/4816822
You need to appeal to the PPC saying that you are the registered keeper and that after discussions with the driver, they deny abusing the Patron and that they don't even know him and that to do that whilst simultaneously parking is a feat that is worthy of Britain's Got Talent.
Enclose a copy of the receipt saying the driver was a genuine customer and had to answer a call of nature. Offer regrets that you personally do not have evidence of the latter to show them as the driver did not retain it, but invite them to cancel the ticket or send a POPLA code.
The object of the appeal to the PPC is to get a POPLA code, so you need to give some reason and this chain of stores really pi$$es me off, hence suggested wording.0 -

Thanks Guy's Dad, that cheered me up a bit. I'll definitely use that technique when putting in my appeal.
I've actually just spoke to the Manager at the store. She was very helpful and said if I go back to them with my proof of purchase and fine notice, they will also appeal it on my behalf. I'll do that tomorrow.
Thanks again.0 -
Save your appeal to the PPC until after/if you get a Notice to Keeper. DO NOT appeal to them just yet.0

I wary of losing my right of paying a reduced fine if I do that. Obviously I understand the point is to pay nothing but if this could be dealt with quickly via 1/2 complaint emails would that not be better?0 -

There is no FINE, this is all a scam and there is no 'right to pay less'!! The complaint is your priority; the Manager can cancel it (she doesn't 'appeal it').
As far as you are concerned, appealing a windscreen ticket is too soon, leaves you in a worse position than you could be, if you write as the driver in response to a windscreen ticket. All explained in the sticky thread 'newbies...have you got a private parking ticket? Read this now!'
So just do the complaint for now and don't let her keep the original of the ticket. You keep it in case you end up having to appeal LATER when the NTK arrives. Forget what the stupid fake PCN says about deadlines...that's for the driver and you would appeal (later) as the keeper. See the sticky thread!PRIVATE 'PCN'? Thanks coupon-mad. I feel clearer with what to do now. One finally query however, when I make my complaint with the store tomorrow should I give my details such as name & contact details? Was thinking of just giving a generic email address I'm going to set up as my current ones have my name in. Don't want to make the PPC job easier of course.0

Appeal to them as the keeper with your name and an email address.0
