Outside electrical point

Decided to get a two gang electrical point fitted for outside xmas lights and vacuum cleaning/washing car

We have separate consume point in garage but all of the 3 points where fuses are, are taken up so probably take it from inside garage electrical socket to outside. Like to have some sort of timer there for lights if possible or not a priority as such I know the normal socket timers will be no good

We also want to have a separate switch from with inside the garage to turn it on/off rather than having to go outside.

Is there any kind of switch I need it wont be outside? What kind of cable do I need yo go outside for electrical point so I can order them before sparky comes. Its a friend who is doing it but rather order before hand rather than go to one of the sheds and pay top notch. I was also going to get some trunken for the cable for inside to tidy it up

Thanks for your help

Just like to point out that most Christmas lights come with a plug transformer which means you either can't plug it in as it hits the lid or you can't close the lid to make it waterproof. I have to plug a short extension lead into my external double socket then plug the lights into the extension sealing with a bin bag and insulating tape. Just a heads up in case you weren't aware.

That's a good point not 100% sure now I use to have cables run through under garage door but its tight due to weatherstrip. Still I still need outside power supply for car thanks
