Easyjet changed flight but no refund

Hi
I booked a flight over Xmas to Jordan, easyjet emailed me to tell me that the flight time had changed which means I am stranded at Gatwick or will have to pay for a taxi home as the flight now gets in after midnight. I have asked for a refund so I can rebook something else and they have refused stating they can only give me a flight voucher to spe d with them in 6 months !! But I need a refund to book another flight so effectively they can resell my original seat at double the price and hold onto my cash. how is that fair ? Advice please

Where do you need to travel to after arriving at Gatwick?0 -
I suspect OP means that there will be no public transport running (buses/trains) when the flight arrives at the NEW time, but at the OLD time there would have been options. Thus the only options now would be to wait at Gatwick until public transport is running, or get a taxi (expensive) to get to the destination (home I presume). Getting a refund would allow an alternative flight into Gatwick to be purchased that would have a more-convenient arrival time.0

But if the OP is travelling towards London*, the gap between trains is no more than 35 minutes throughout the night (may depend on day of travel - I checked 27 Nov).
If so, a train from Gatwick to London then a night bus or taxi onwards from there may well be the easiest option.
*a guess given the OP's username.0 -
Hi
The old flight landed at 7pm the new lands at 12.30am I live in Surrey so I will have to pay for a weeks airport parking at xmas or get a £75 cab I would not have booked a flight getting back so late due to the issues getting home or I will have to pay for a hotel for the night all extra costs which easy jet will not be covering so I'd rather cancel as going to west London so it will be a total drag to get home especially if it snows but easy jet are not prepared to give me a refund yet they will resell my ticket for double the price AND hold onto my cash surely this can't be right ?0 -
Um, I think you've got your timings wrong. The current flights land at either 20:50 or 23:25, depending on whether it's a Tuesday, Thursday or Sunday. No flights from Jordan arrive at 7pm or 12.30am. You might want to check your flight number and details, because they don't arrive at either time you suggested!

2. If you were in the other person's shoes, how would you react?
3. Do you want a quick answer or better understanding?0
