My dishasher was working fine until yesterday. I cannot get it past the filling stage. It fills with water then usually the spray arms kick in but all I can hear is two clicks as if the program is stuck. I have tried resetting it but this sends it into end mode and it empties

Sounds as though the arm is getting stuck, have you tried pushing it to see if it spins? Usually the arms on dishwashers are powered by the firce of the water, so it might also be blocked, is there a way of unscrewing and cleaning it to see if that helps?0

Check for free spray arm rotation, then remove both arms and clean the nozzles. No free lunch, and no free laptop0

I have looked at both arms and they move freely and they are not blocked. It just seems that the next program will not kick in.0
