Tesco are officially the worst supermarket!

Doesn't surprise me
. I hate the place!, it's ironic though that the old White Horse pub near where I live has recently turned into a mini Tesco, but they are not allowed to move the Horses head on the front of the store because it is some sort of protected building :rotfl:
Personally I shop in Lidl and Sainsburys, and am looking to a new Aldi store which is opening soon (right next to the massive Tesco!:))

Are the Tesco staff employed based on their miserableness?
I had to laugh the other day as the Tesco near me was closed the 3rd time this year due to the checkout system failing!0 -
has anyone used their click & collect service?
absolutely terrible.
i have twice and both times i have had to queue for about 10 - 15 mins to get to the desk, and when i do it takes them ages to find my order. the first time, despite having the collection text, they couldnt even find it, so i had to go back yet again!
then, when they do bring the items, they have always looked like they have just been kicked about on the floor for a bit.
this time, i had ordered some bedding, and it wasnt even in any type of cover, so the material bag was dirty and had a hole in in. i pointed this out to the customer service assistant, and was told i had ordered it, so had to take it!
not happy, will not be using them ever again :mad:0 -

That's terrible candyfliss :eek:I would have asked to see the store manager. I've used ASDA. BHS, Homebase, Argos and Marks and Spencer Click & Collect and at times all have queues/can't find things at first. But never had anything looking scruffy let alone damaged.
I don't blame you for not using it again,0 -
I don't like Tesco, but unfortunately it's my nearest supermarket. I do shop there, but I try to get my fruit and veg as well as most meat from the small Sainsburys about a mile down the road.
I used to work in Asda at uni and even their fruit and veg is far better quality than Tesco.
I do tend to buy more branded products from Tesco than own brand. I also like the reduced section. The only good thing about Tesco is their clubcard scheme, it's a very good marketing tool for them.0 -

Reading The Grocer online this week, ASDA plans to open more stores in London and SE which should give Tesco more competition down here.
ASDA veg is fantastic I agree. I don't find much fresh organic stuff but when I do, not only is it the cheapest for much of it, the quality is up there with Waitrose - I particularly like ASDA organic mushrooms. The fish counter is great, too ie 2 organic salmon fillets for £40 -
Good to see people are taking notice of Tesco's poor customer offering and staying away......what are the Senior Management up to?:rotfl:
And now they over declared profit....are they trying to kill their business..?
I went in to a Tesco recently Sat.afternoon and there were 5 people in it...poor promotions, uncompetitive prices and unattractive displays.
We go elsewhere now.0 -

Please don't shoot me down but the staff at the newly opened store (approx 18 mths) near me are absolutely lovely and will do anything for you (even though I only ever buy the reduced/special offer goods lol). I do understand what you mean as they are absolutly miserable at the store I used to go to though.....infact it used to be a standing joke that you have to be miserable with no common sense to work there:rotfl:0 -
I live in a market town where we have a Tesco and Morrisons plus mini M and S. I would love to shop at Sainsburys or Asda but they are too far away for a regular shop. A branch of Aldi is opening soon about 5 miles away, so it will get our custom along with that of half the local population.
For special occasions it is Waitrose who are unrivalled for high quality fresh stuff.0 -
:rotfl:Tesco has reported a 6% fall in group trading annual profit to £3.3bn as it continues to lose market share to discount rivals.
It is the second year in a row in which the supermarket has announced falling profits.
Tesco said like-for-like sales, which strip out the effect of new store openings, also fell by 1.4%.
When....will they listen to the consumer and stop their shady marketing and pricing tactics.
Tesco - just offer good value and you'll return to your predominant position of a few years ago!0
