    Hi all, it's NEARLY that time of year again!! :j

    Count up day for SPC 6 begins 28th November, so it's time to count your cash and then to declare on or around the 28th!!

    Whether it's a little or a lot, it's money YOU SAVED that would all possibly have been spent...so be so very proud of it!!! :T

    Please, just as soon as you can - come to the link below and pop yourTotal *here!*

    Likewise, if you wish to join us, for the next SP Challenge (7) then please go to the link above and have a look at the 1st post on Page 1 to see what it's about. Then just ask and you'll be made most welcome. :grinheart
    Please everyone, DON'T use co!nstar to change your cash! They take around 10% of YOUR MONEY!!!! :mad:

    Thank you! It's good to be back. Money was so tight I didn't have any for any sort of pot, I needed every penny just to survive. However, that's behind me now and from next Tuesday unofficial debtfreeness will be here :T My number is now in my signature and I have already started on the challenge with the loose change from my purse.

    Well done, Piquant, you've put your No on perfectly. Now budget well and save all you can in your pot and you'll be ecstatic this time next year!

    I am not a proper sealed pot challenger, but I have collected about £20 worth of coppers. I know this as last time filled the pot it was about £11, and I have filled the pot, emptied it into a bag and pretty much refilled the pot. I also have some 5p coins.

    Last time I used coinstar, but the commission annoyed me so much.

    What do you use to avoid coinstar?

    Hi Pee, as sexyshark & Ruth have said, always use the bank and you won't go wrong. I know you say you're not yet a member of SPC, but why not join up with us now, then you'll be a proper member, have your own number and can include your money with ours next week! :jIf you decide to then go to SPC 6 ~ Part 2 from the link at the upper part of this post and I'll welcome you aboard.

    Good for you, sexyshark, you're a perfect example, Ruth also of course! ;)

    All the very best all and never stop saving!

    Thank you very much. I will be back in tears when natwest refuse me!
  • Can you add me to the list for the next year? 7 days is a bit short on time for me to join this round.

    My girlfriends sister gave me a sealed tin in July for my birthday so I have sort of been doing this challenge without knowing this thread/idea existed. I have no idea what I have in the pot. I put all my spare change in. My target is around £1500 so I can pay for my girlfriend to go back to college to study veterinary nursing. She has no idea that is what it is for. I've said its for a new to my car for myself.

    Fantastic idea! Cannot wait to officially join in!
    Sealed Pot Challenge:
    2014 = £202
    2015 = £382
  • That is an adorable idea :D

    if you head on over to SPC 6 and ask to join there you will get an official welcome and a number from Sue. That is also where Sue will add a link to next years challenge once she had created the thread. Check out SPC 6 and you won't miss SPC 7 :D

    Plus you'll get to chat and meet everyone before the next thread starts :) You'll also get to see how exciting count up time is. Trust me, better than Christmas :D

    I doubt that very much, Pee, after all they will soon need to look after you in a big way! Don't forget to join SPC now before it gets busy.

    Hi Sue and all,

    I've not completed the challenge for the last couple of years.....there have always been reasons for me to break into the pot.

    Anyhow, I'm determined more than ever to do this challenge....so, can I rejoin.....number 031. My target is £600 in £2 coins.

    Thanks

  • I've decided that whatever the total I've saved would go towards buying Christmas things like gift bags and tags. I won't be able to afford it without using it for that other wise. Anyway starting in the new year would be better to save in my savings account.
    I just need to get Christmas out of the way...in a nice meaning.
