REFUND question - do you refund postage ?

Hi
Unfortunately have had to do a lot of refunds lately and getting a bit sick of it. Some items went missing in post, so have two claims for these already. The next one the reciepent claimed it arived broken despite the fact it was exceptionally well wrapped. I am extremely doubtful about this one as I dont really believe the customer. However refunded all these including postage. Now this morning buyer says print has arrived all creased , folded at corners, despite being wrapped in a film and tube. I posted three of these and the remarks by the rest was " wonderfully wrapped in perfect condition" .I also stated on my listing it would be rolled and sent in a tube.SO I have told her send it back will refund, but should I refund the postage she paid me ? I cant be bothered with another claim to royal mail and the postage cost me £ 2.00 .
I wrap everything really great and this is the biggest good feedback comment I get.I have now started sending everything recorded to prove it got there.

I would ask her to send it back to you, and see for yourself if it is damaged and creased in any way. if its not just refudnd her the cost, if it is creased refund her plus postage.
But this is my opinion, others may differ with me.

Thanks for replying. The only problem there is it is easy enough for her to damage it herself. I know it was in pefect condition when I sent it and have the photo to prove it too.
The problem I had before with the other item, when we examined it it looked although it had been deliberately broken. Was just wondering if postage is usually refunded ?0 -
to be honest you will never know if she herself damaged it. you get these dishonest people that change there mind an think they will damage it just to get there money back. they wind me up.
its you call on the postage, but make sure you block people like this from bidding on any of your other auctions.0 -
Check their feedback and if there is any hint that they are not kosher.....I would tell em tough. Otherwise refund block and move on.0

I'm not sure I would refund postage, shops generally don't...maybe include if you will or won't in future listings....0

If you sent it in a tube then it must have been physically damaged to effect the print inside. You should have told your buyer that Royal Mail must have damaged it and that you will forward proof of postage so they can make a claim.0 -
Hi. Yes my boyfriend came home, read the email and turned around and said " no way can that be creased/ folded it was in that dear tube ! " .So yeah the more I think about it the more I think she is at it. Here is the item with photo, PRINT DETAILS it lay like this then I put a plastic sheet over it rolled it in a tube and posted it. It was rolled but then prints are if they are in a tube. Its not a lot of money but Im getting a bit fed up with people doing this, plus it all adds up. I emailed her first thing this morning and she has not replied.
Her email " It has big creases (especially in one of the corners) and I cannot frame it as it would look terrible in that condition "
