Need someone 2 drill 2 holes through brick wall for portable a/c units

Options
Hi

Not sure if im in the right forum here but please help!

Is there anyone in the Leeds area that would do me a favour? I need to get 2 holes cut into a brick wall in my living room to accommodate the two hoses of my portable air conditioning unit, similar to a tumble dryer hose x 2. This is so that I don’t have to vent them through an open window.

Only thing is really don’t have a lot of money to spend on doing it. So would really appreciate it if there was someone local on here who wouldn’t mind doing it for me keeping costs down.

Thank you.

I am in lancashire but did the same job as you, I hired the drill from my local hire shop (speedy) for £10 and did it myself.

You see i would need someone to do it for me, as there is no way i can go near a drill, last time i used a drill there was a complete mess and half the plaster off the wall came off. This was just fitting speaker brackets!!!

How about a local handy man - either in the yellow pages or perhaps a card in a local post office or newsagent? They would be reasonable what around £20 maybe + hiring the drill etc.

Otherwise can you not ask someone to do it for you if you hire the drill.

The secret to drilling is to take your time and go slowly where possible.
Loose plaster will fall off regardless. Try drilling a pilot hole with a small drill that way the larger drill wont slip on the wall surface and pull off plaster etc...
