Is it possible to use a battery to power my catering trailer lights?
If so can anyone help me understand how and where to start?
Many Thanks

Yes caravans and motor homes all have 12v lighting, use led bulbs as they draw less power from the battery. You would need to recharge the battery on a regular basis, or solar panel on the trailer roof. If you park your trailer near mains electric at night charging would be cheaper option then a solar panel.0

Presumably as long as they're 12 volt lights, otherwise you may need to add an inverter if you need mains voltage.
You're probably better of buying a 'leisure' type battery eg as sold in caravan shops - these are more suited to being cycled and recharged more often, which is likely what you'll be doing.
there's a useful guide here on how to choose what capacity battery you'll need, versus the wattage of the bulbs you're using - http://www.simplesolarsetup.com/battery4.html0
