It does feel pretty great, I'm not even entirely sure HOW I've done it because that is such a high proportion of my wage. I am paying off on average £700 a month though which would make sense.

I absolutely hope I pay it all off by the end of the year, or at least by the end of January 2015 as a Birthday present to myself :D

Your thread has been really inspiring for me to see how well you are doing too, and other debt diaries on here. It really spurs you on to see how well others are doing!

  • As silly as it sounds, I'm most excited about having my loan paid off at the moment. I think being able to pay extra towards my debts with a quick online payment rather than having to ring up will mean I do little and often and pay it off without even noticing it, right?

Only £868 to go til I'm at that point!

  • Went home early today because everything was broken so I used some annual leave.

I planned to go into town and do some of the Field Agent tasks that I never get a chance to because they are out of my way. So into town I drive, go to reserve the first task, and... it says an error occurred. So I try again and it says it's already been reserved! I refreshed the app and all the ones I drove in to do had been pinched! Very disappointed. I drove all the way into town and all I got was some foundation that I needed.

I wanted to spend my Topshop voucher I got for Christmas because I always feel nervous with vouchers in case places go bust, but I really couldn't find anything at all that was to my taste so I'm saving it til I see something I really like. I don't think Topshop are about to go out of business any time soon.

Ah well, at least I made myself a yummy stew before I left for town so that was one productive thing I did! And I booked myself in to get my hair done next week because it really REALLY needs it. I can barely brush it without half of it falling out because of split ends.

I did find 20p roadkill so it's not all bad :)

  • Bit more money from an eBay sale, won't be more than a fiver after fees and postage, but hey, better than nothing.

Rang up the bank to make my loan overpayment for this month (£12 of interest saved, woohoo) and he said it was showing on the system that I am eligable for further lending and would I like to be put through. Hahaha as if!! No more debt for me, thanks.

I think I'm going to try and get that Field Agent task that reappeared this weekend, make a little trip into town on Saturday and see what I can do! Fingers crossed for another £4.50 there...

  • I've made a good £100 this month and that makes me happy but I also know I could have done better! I haven't been on clixsense all month, which is a shame but I was finding it really tedious and feeling like I was wasting all my free time on there and it was making me anxious.

I think I will try to strike a happy balance and do a little bit every now and then.

I managed to save £200 this month because my Invisalign payment for this month went out of last month's wages, and as it's a short month won't be going out til payday again. So that went into my savings to make up for the £175 I took out for car tax last month.

I would probably still have £100 left but I've been a bit miserable and I may or may not have spent £50 on a bit of retail therapy through out the month, and let my LTW slip, so I only have £40 left. It's payday on Friday though and I am still happy with how far I've come. Bad months happen, and it's a far cry from October when I was completely failing to break even and spending on credit!

  • Ugh I've felt so bad about the fact that I've not brought lunch to work for a whole week. I've just been too down and too busy to make myself anything in advance.

New month, new start, I'm gonna make something fantastic Monday night and get back on the debt busting horse.

I renamed my overpayments account 'bills' and every payday I'm just gonna transfer into it the amount of money I know I need for all bills for the month, then as each one goes out of my main account, put money back in. This way I know EXACTLY how much money I have left for the month very clearly, and according to my SOA I have bang on the right amount for the month right now. My SOA is quite relaxed, so hopefully by cutting back a bit I will have something left again! :)

  • Wow Broke Kitty - you have made such in roads into your debt - looking at all your strike throughs - you HAVE to be chuffed with that. So now that you have posted how you feel on here today I think it will help you to make changes for next week.

You have done amazing and some of your ideas have made me really think about what I am doing. Have you thought about making a huge soup at the weekend which can be used for lunch as a change - just in case you are bored by what you have been taking with you?

Take care and keep going - you are doing great :A

Thank you so much! I think you're right, especially about posting about it helping for next week - and I love the soup idea! I won't have time to make soup on Sunday but I definitely will Monday night! I made some a few weeks ago and it was so yummy I accidentally ate it at all at home and didn't take any to work with me :rotfl:

I really am chuffed to bits with the progress I've made in just a few short months, I have to let up on myself a bit - I'm living within my means, and if I want to treat myself because I'm feeling crappy that's perfectly okay because I'm meeting my payments, still driving that debt down, and not getting in any more.

And I've reserved £17 worth of Field Agent tasks to whizz round and do when I finish work, so it's not like I'm doing nothing :A

Thanks for the encouragement and for popping by! Feel free to subscribe :)

Also I notice from your signature that your debt is 0% and you're saving up to pay it all off (well done on saving so much btw!!). Is there no option to pay back chunks at a time, rather than sitting on it? I know I can do this with my loan at the moment (but that's with my bank), and I do every time I save £100 cos I like to see it going down, but obviously if there are any charges associated with you doing that it makes perfect sense to save it.
