  • Logged into my snowball calculator to input this month's monthly payments, and I'm a bit confused - the amount left on the snowball calculator is different to the amount left on my online banking for my loan. Makes no sense to me because I put in the payment exactly.

  • Just realised I've been posting in my original thread as a diary, and not in here in the correct section. Doh!

I'll respond to any questions in there, but I'm gonna start using this thread as I intended now!

    So far I have:
Got rid of my overdraft and smallest (but highest interest) loan, and switched all CC debt to 0% as well as a chunk of my Lloyds loan, thanks to a bit of credit card shuffling

Overpaid £320 towards the remainder of my loan (since mid November)

Taken another 0% deal to transfer £1900 more to my Lloyds loan so I have a minimal amount to pay back with interest left once I do this

Massively cut back on all spending, cancelled everything unnecessary and saved myself absolutely loads on a monthly basis. I spent £200 less this month!!

Finally got around to eBaying again, and made £34.55 after fees and postage, yay! Hope there is much more where that came from.

Downloaded every single money making app I could find on to my iPhone (iPoll, Field Agent, Roamler, Qustodian) so if anyone knows of any more, please please let me know. I've made £32.50 from Field Agent, which is not to be sniffed at! Wish there were more regular tasks.

Signed up for Clixsense, although I don't get much time on there. People in the thread who do have the time make loads and it is super inspiring!

Started taking my dinner to work with me every single day, like I used to. I slipped up at one point and I don't know why! I've saved a bomb sticking to this.

Probably more that I forget, but I'm really enjoying updating my signature and watching my totals go down, it's really addictive!

It's payday in about five minutes, and I've decided what I'm going to do with this month's spare £200! I'm going to put it in my emergency fund to reimburse myself for the road tax I had to pay for this month, and hopefully if I keep adding to said fund, by June when it's insurance renewal time I should be able to buy the year in full, because at the moment I have £53 a month going out on insurance that I'd love to put towards my debt each month instead!

Also the money from my money transfer CC came through, £1980 to shift to the Lloyds loan which will be paid off interest free, and with my payments I was going to make anyway, I should have it down below £900 this month! It's the last thing I'm paying interest on so this makes me very happy.

  • I've been thinking more and more about my end goal. I would love to debt free at 25, as I've said before, and I am on track for this next October but would LOVE to get that date closer to January as that is when my actual birthday is.

Once I'm debt free this will free me up to move out of the parental abode finally, as I think it's about time. But I have soooo much stuff, and I would like to get rid of loads on eBay so that I would have minimal stuff to take with me and well, I just love being a minimalist in general.

I need to get thinking hard what I think will sell well on eBay and what I can bear to part with!

  • Just rang the bank to make my £2000 overpayment on the loan now that the MBNA money transfer came through.

She told me I just saved myself £700 in interest. I am over the moon, as I'll now be paying £1918 of that off interest free, and the rest I made up myself using money I made from eBay, surveys, rounding down etc.

    Happy Friday :D

  • Little trip to Asda just now after work, there was a Field Agent task for £5 on razor blade audit, and I bought a £2 scratch card and a £1 scratch card and won £5. So I'm £7 up there! No more scratch cards for a week or so though, can't be getting addicted after a little win haha!

I did spend like £14 though, and I didn't even buy everything I needed because I was horrified that everything was like £1 dearer than Aldi/Home Bargains where I normally shop!

And literally just this second I got a bid on some shoes I've got on eBay, so my total in bids at the moment is £6.98! Almost makes up for having to partial refund somebody last night :(

  • Pitiful eBay sales this week, I am thinking I might do a car boot sale at the end of feb instead as I am rather disheartened by this eBay lark.

In better news though, just checked Field Agent and tobacco audit tasks are back, and there are £30's worth in my area! Three of them are a little bit far out for me and I probably won't get those, but I'm gonna whizz round the rest in the next few days providing nobody else snaps them up!

I also found an app through Qustodian (which has made me 60p in 3 days so far, I think I'm liking this!) called OnTrees which is basically a UK version of the Check app, and it shows you all of your accounts in one place. Really handy as it also shows you transactions if you click on each account. So like online banking except you can't make payments. I am a bit obsessive about checking my bank, credit card balances etc several times a day, so this saves me lots of seperate logging in! And it's free! And I got 14p for downloading it in the first place!

  • I ran round and did 3 Field Agent tasks today, so that's an extra £13.50 towards the loan :D

I've also hit redemption threshold on iPoll today, but I looked on the rewards bit and you can actually only redeem via paypal when you reach £30. What a slog that will be! Might just get an Amazon giftcard, I do shop there a lot.
