Just send them the CCA request.
Then wait, they have 14 days to get it to you.
After that, if they write asking for payment etc, just write back stating you won't be dealing with them until the CCA appears.
If they send something they claim is valid, post back for advice.:beer:0 -

As a long term non-TV user, I'm quite accustomed to letters, which are liberally scattered with "may", "could", "might", etc.

I have sent off the CCA request today along with a £1 postal order (crossed) and will post back the outcome.

Just got a letter from Red Debt Collection Services stating i must pay them now. Beginning to get worried..0

Red are the same as Lowell.
Just ignore them, or if they are worrying you, tell them you await the CCA request and consider the debt to be in dispute.
Was their letter dated before they would have received your CCA request?:beer:0 -

Just to update you I got a letter dated 19/2/14.
We are in receipt of your request for a copy of the credit agreement in accordance with section 77 (1) and / or 78 (1) of the Consumer Credit Act1974.
we are requesting a copy of the agreement from the original lender with whom you originally entered into the agreement together with statements.
Whilst we endeavor to reply to you with the required information within the prescribed 12 day period under the Consumer Credit Act, you will appreciate this is dependent upon receipt of the information from the original creditor. We will advise your further if it will take longer than the prescribed period.
When Lowell Portfolio 1 Ltd purchases a debt from a client we issue a Letter of Assignment to the consumer which fulfills our legal obligations under the Law of Property Act 1925. this letter was sent to you on the 7/11/13. We would not normally issue Deed of Assignment unless the matter had progressed to court action.
We hope that the above meets with your approval, please do not hesitate to contact us.

I believe 14 days has passed now.
What should I expect now and how should I reply to them if they write to me again?0 -
Quite often takes longer when they have to ask the original creditor for it.
If they write and ask you to pay, just reply stating you are still waiting for your CCA.:beer:0
