You should pursue the issue with Natwest if the money shows as having left your account. May be you sent it to someone else by mistake?
Have you raised a written complaint with Natwest yet?
I don't know Santander just said that they would try to trace if from their end. The woman I spoke to at Natwest on Monday said that Santander had some issues at the backend of last week so maybe the payment got held or sent to a holding account I don't know.
They won't sent the letter to me personally but to my Mum as its no my account. I am not their customer but Natwest said that the payment definitely was sent so the person I sent the money to should get in contact with their bank. No I definitely sent it to the correct bank account and it was confirmed by Natwest. I just don't know, Natwest told me to raise the issue with Santander.
I haven't written to them yet but I will do. Thanks.0 -

This is completely the wrong advice.
I would mention this when you do your complaint to Natwest - they should be made aware of the poor service they are giving.0 -
Whilst it's technically the wrong advice, it can often be the quickest way to solve such problems, particularly if the receiving bank employee thinks to check their suspense account.0

I'm thinking not all the facts are being provided here.
If the payment had been made previously using all the same details without glitches it makes me slightly suspicious.Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0 -
It has happened before that a faster payment has vanished without a trace , at my work we tried to resolve a missing payment that was sent to our customer from another bank . We liased with staff at the senders bank who assured us that the payment had left the senders account to the correct details but were never able to trace the funds.
The sending bank had done a trace that told them the funds were accepted by the recipients bank so they closed the matter at their end , we had no joy in tracing the funds either and I think the matter was resolved by the complaints dept in the end.0 -
Mum checked her Santander account today and the £106 was credited to her account so looks like Santander were at fault. The payment said credit adn something else so it wasn't like it was a late payment or anything.
Glad I have my money back and hopefully Santander will send a letter explaining what happened like they said they would.0 -

You are glad you have your money back? You sent a payment to your mum (or at least so you said), so it is your mum's money now.0 -

No its my money. I sent it to her to borrow as she had bills coming out of her account on the Friday as she wasn't getting paid until later on, on the Friday as she gets paid cash. She was going to pay me it back later on, but what does that even matter lol?0 -

It's her money. If you have an agreement outside, thats a personal deal between you and your mother.0 -

Ok fairy enough if you put it like that your right. But it doesn't really matter who's money it is other than the fact the money I sent went missing and I now have the money back in my personal account that was all I meant.0
