Halifax Credit Card

I wonder if someone can help me. I currently have a Halifax Classic Visa Card and having just been on their web site I see that they are advertising a Halifax One Card with a 0% on balance transfer and purchases for a year. Would I be able to phone them up and ask to be transferred from my current card to the new one? Sorry if I'm not making any sense!!!! Any help gratefully received.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Yes it is very easy to upgrade ones card

Just call and ask!
0% BTs and purchases for 9 months.
Remember to keep making at least the minimum payments or you will forfeit the 0% rate. :eek:God save the King!
I'll save Winston Churchill, Jane Austen, J. M. W. Turner and Alan Turing.0 -
Many Thanks. Will phone up and see what they say.

They did it for me. I cleared off the remaining balance (£3500) as 0% was coming to an end, phoned them and asked if anything was on offer. They immediately gave me a halifax one card with 9 months 0% balance transfer rate.Ask and you may receive.

They will, but if you transfer an existing balance, it will be at the go to rate on the One Card which is anything from 12.9% to 19.9% dependent on your credit score. You are better off as the poster said reducing your balance on this card to zero, then transferring it back to the one card to get 0%0 -
If you have any cashback accrued, then you'll probably lose it, as it's only credited at the end of the year and you're effectively closing one account ( thereby losing your cashback) and opening a new account0
