Claiming at 58

I find myself for the first time in the none working catogrey after a long illness.
I am currently on Income support and DLA middle rate.with my wife as my career.

I have never found myself in all my life in such depressing times. With these being very hard times and at the age of 58 is there anything i can claim for to help with every day living, such as general survival living.

Is your wife claiming carer's allowance (sorry not sure if it's you or your wife who has to claim).
You may be able to get reductions in council tax as well.
